On March 11th Amber contacted me about her upcoming wedding. The catch? Her wedding was in 13 days. Billy her fiancé was facing deployment orders and last minute this couple decided that there is no time better than the present. I happened to have the date open so on March 24th just days before he was shipped out I watched Billy and Amber share smiles that even I could feel in my chest as they stood in front of their closest family and friends on a perfect spring day in New Orleans vowing to always fight for one another. The right timing is not real. We make a choice. It will never be the right time and life will never roll smoothly. There will always be a snag a bump. Something you didn't see coming. Jump. Share this beautiful adventure that is life with all of its ups and downs. Cheers to all of the military couples out there like Billy and Amber who understand the value of a partner in crime, that life is hard and military life has its own set of kinks to add to it, but team work makes the dream work.
I spent a few hours with Two Birds Create recently, a mommy daughter duo that like to get lost in the creative process as a team. There is actually a really cute story that explains how their name came to be that you can find here.
Early last year the momma bird of this duo, Whitney a fellow mom, and hustler who I had previously clicked with on various projects wanted to collaborate. Looking to not only document the beauty of her right now, but also create content for her heath and wellness blog a lifestyle session made all the sense. My camera and I hung out while the two birds went on about their normal routine because everyone has their own story and their is always beauty to be found. You can find that session here.
One year later. Whitney is ready for the new year and another round of freeze frame with me. My job as before document the beauty of everyday life we take for granted by always living in every moment, but the present and provide content for the Two Birds' new website (COMING SOON!).
My camera. Two Birds. 4 hours.
