After a few reschedules due to the ever present Louisiana summer rain we finally got Weston in front of the camera on a beautiful Sunday morning for his 2 year portraits. He has grown so much since his 1st year portraits. Mature and observant is how I would describe Weston post session. A bright crayon in the box who knows when you're trying to tie balloons to his belt loops. He is having none of it.
All the carousel rides, animals, and friends a girl could ask for on her birthday!
It was hot and humid, but it didn't stop this crew from having a blast!
First session of July? A stroll in the sun and salty air of Downtown Stuart Florida with this mother daughter duo and their little dog too. I met Heather and her mother in the heart of this 147 year old Treasure Coast City and let Heather's sweet pup Nash lead the way. We shared childhood memories and the evolution that is the relationship with your parents/children which made it hard to not feel that nostalgia, smiling as the sun set over the waters of the St. Lucie River. I instantly picked up on their bond and the close relationship these two shared it gave me all the feels and reminded of me of my own amazing mother who really is such a rock in my life. Little compares to a mother who will always see you as her baby and love you unconditionally through your rebellious years. Those years where she knows you are secretly sure she is clueless and has never lived through the same years as you. For the record she was clueless and winging it just like the rest of us are, but not as clueless as you who knew it all. All. Of. It. Then one day you wake up realize you don't know as much as you thought and you're overcome with the urge to call your mom and apologize for being a little shit sometimes over the last 20 to 30 years. I know I did.
