Turning this families upstairs playroom into the perfect backdrop for Lucy's one year portraits was a lot of fun. Where did all this stuff come from? Around their home. Books, dinos, grandpa's chemistry set, periodic table blocks, and even an astronaut helmet all made the cut. 

It has been so fun watching this family go from a party of three to a party of four after welcoming Lucy into the world. Big sister Ruby was close by offering support and posing tips to her sister and the results are priceless. Smiles, tears, and sister bonding made this session authentic and real. All the feels.

Small and intimate were the words Christina said to me after asking her what her wedding day looked liked to her during our first phone conversation. My two favorite words! Initially the bride had her heart set on a city park ceremony, but in the end a picturesque Bourbon Orleans hotel suite balcony became the setting of this couples I dos. On a Friday morning in late September on a balcony in the heart of the French Quarter with the St. Louis Cathedral in the distance and 7 or their closest family and friends I watched Robert wipe away Christina's tears of joy. It was a beautiful New Orleans day.
